National Health Reform - Update 03/10/2011
An update has just been released, 30 Sept 2011, on the progress on the National Health Reform. There is a substantial portion devoted to Mental Health initiatives, around 12 pages. Other sections are well worth reading as some, particularly Primary Care, include initiatives that will impact or deliver Mental Health Services. This is as usual an assortment of beaurocratic propaganda without substance! My son has just phoned me..NSW EST 10.59 25.10.2011 advising me that he has been released from Robina Mental Health Unit. I his mother have had constsant communication from NSW,most recently speaking to their social worker(Kevin) who assured me thatI,his mother would be consulted on my sons progress and hopefully impending discharge after stabilisation of medication. He has just called me after being released this evening still MANIC and I dont know his whereabouts! He has been in Robina facility for 9days and has "walked out" of the MaxSec ward which was not recorded until 4.28pm when the police were notified!2yrs prior he was released from Southport P2 by accident while Manic as their were 2 young males with the same christian name..not SURNAME. I am fed up as a parent who has no right as he is of legal age and yet these facilities make constant errors under duty of care and take no responsibility! I have been treated as an ignorant mother though I have been in constant cmmunication for 8 years.I AM PANICSTRICKEN THAT MY SON WILL BE HARMED!!This incident is only 1 of many that our family has recorded as I am sure many other families have.Someone PLEASE HELP US!
