My name is Rachel Morton from the School of Psychology and Counselling at the Queensland University of Technology. I’m researching the experience of family members who have lived with or are living with a close family member who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I would like to know what you do to cope with stress, your own personal characteristics, including some questions about your medical history, your levels of stress and any potential benefits. It is my hope this research can help families living with schizophrenia and mental health professionals to better support families by incorporating their strengths.
If you are able to help me in this study, I’m looking for parents, children and siblings (aged 16 and older) who have lived with their relative at some point since they were diagnosed to complete an online questionnaire package. Your participation is expected to take 20-25 minutes. This study has been approved by the QUT Human Research Ethics Committee (approval number 1100001107).
To be taken to the questionnaire click here.
**To recognise your contribution, you are able to enter into a draw to receive one of two $50 Coles/Myer vouchers.
Please pass this email onto any other family members or friends who may be eligible to participate.
Your interest is greatly appreciated.
