Ask yourself a question:

“Are you a carer?”

The term “carer” implies an individual who cares for someone. They could care for their friends, family, their loved ones, strangers – You don’t need any special qualification to become a carer. You just need to have a heart.

Carers can be of any age. They can be children, teenagers and adults. People who come under the age of 25 and are carers, are known as “young carers”

It is important to know that you will not be considered a carer, if you are getting money out of it. Being a “carer” is a volunteer work or a type of work done to gain “work experience” with no money involved.

Always know that a “carer” is different than a “home care worker”.
